I invite you to experience my latest series, Readymade Nature, a deeply personal exploration of how we, as a society, engage with and perceive media in its many forms. This series challenges viewers to question whether the images they see in media outlets and online are truly reflective of reality around them.
Through the use of synthetic materials, I craft 3D dioramas that replicate natural scenes—these fabricated environments mirror the false sense of security we often derive from media portrayals of nature. By printing these dioramas on raw metal, I emphasize the underlying tension between our perception of nature and the looming environmental crisis.
In this series, I address the themes of global pollution and its detrimental impact on our world. The works Drowning, Flowing, and Melting represent different facets of the ongoing ecological damage we face.
Readymade Nature overall challenges the viewer to confront the gap between the constructed, sanitized version of nature we consume and the harsh truths about the reality of the world around us.
